It's rare we get to film a rehearsal dinner, but when we get to, we love it! It allows us to capture some really beautiful moments in a much more lowkey setting. We get to meet a lot of people before the wedding day which makes our day easier and helps make people a bit more comfortable with us filming them all day.
When Katie and David wanted to add rehearsal dinner coverage I was so happy to get to see them interact with their family and friends. From that we were able to get an idea of how the wedding day would play out. We knew it was going to be a PARTY and we knew there was going to be some amazing emotional moments just seeing how Katie and David interacted with their family and friends, and it did not disappoint!
From Katie's first look with her dad to his speech along with David's lifelong friend's best man speech to Katie's sister's speech as the maid of honor - the day was full of amazing emotional moments that painted a picture of such a perfect, loving and caring couple who are absolute soulmates.
The day was so beautifully designed and planned with the help of Roe Chlala. She helped transform the already beautiful Aspetuck Valley Country Club into Katie and David's vision. From the chandelier over the cake to the overall design, Roe had her hand in it. One of the coolest touches I have EVER seen at a wedding - there was a speakeasy opened up after the cake cutting in a little hidden room. Many different whiskeys and other drinks highlighted this really unique and fun addition to this already spectacular wedding! The bride and groom and guests LOVED it!
We are so happy we got to spend a weekend with such wonderful people. Their feature film showcases how amazing of a weekend it was and how wonderful Katie, David and all their families are! We hope you enjoy their feature film!
